Walkerville Netball Club
Walkerville Netball Club started in 2010 with five country players. Sixteen years on, it's one of Adelaide's largest clubs, with 47 teams and more than 500 players and families. In 2026 the Cats played their first season in the Netball SA Premier League and made the preliminary final.
The club's website hadn't kept up. It ran on Wix with no content management system, so every change was a manual edit. It was off brand, and it didn't feel like a club playing at the state's highest level.
The club wanted a site that looks the part and that their volunteers can keep up to date without a developer.

Brand alignment first
We started with the brand. I prepared draft designs, and Michelle Stoddart, the club's Secretary and Marketing Manager, gathered feedback from the board and design team. We reviewed it together on a call.
The direction came out clearly: brighter and less navy, white leading the page, electric blue as the accent, and the club's own photography running clean and bold.
A custom design
The original scope was a Webflow template. Once the brand was set, I proposed a custom design so every section could be shaped around the club's content, and the club agreed.
Every section and every dynamic page is fully customisable. The motion is kept subtle so the content leads. There are small moments of personality too, like Clawdia, the club mascot, revealed as the footer scrolls away. The board loved that one.
Built for the club to run
Most of the site is dynamic. Thirteen collections drive programmes, people, sponsors, news and FAQs, and four templates turn each new item into a complete page.
The collections are connected, and it stays simple for the admin:
- A coach is ticked against the programmes they coach, and their card appears on each of those pages.
- A sponsor added to a squad player shows as a badge on that player's card.
- An FAQ is written once and shared across every programme it belongs to.
- Fees, venues and highlights are entered once and reused. If a programme has no fees, that section hides itself.
Nine programme pages, from Kindy Cats to the Premier League, all come from one template.
Every audience, one site
Families find their programme, fees and courts. Players and fans follow the squad and the news.
Businesses see what a partnership reaches and can enquire directly. The club's story, board and coaches each have a proper home.
Launch and handover
Everything was designed with Webflow's native elements and a set of 30 design tokens, so the Designer shows exactly what the live site shows. The club received a run book covering how the collections connect and where each change lives.
We moved the domain off Wix and launched on 18 September 2026. Before launch, Michelle reviewed the whole site and updated the content herself.
The outcome
- A custom-designed website aligned with the club's refreshed brand
- 13 connected CMS collections and 4 page templates
- Nine programme pages, coach profiles, a squad listing with player sponsors, and a news hub
- Partner enquiry and contact forms
- Responsive design across desktop, tablet and mobile
- Google Tag Manager installed for the club's analytics
- A run book for the club's team, and launch support
The club is happy, the board is happy, and the community welcomed the new site at launch.
Thank you
“The CMS build is so good, makes for a really easy editing experience.”Michelle Stoddart, Secretary & Marketing Manager, Walkerville Netball Club
Thank you to Michelle and the Walkerville board for choosing to work with me, and for the care they put into how the Cats show up online. It's always a pleasure working with a client who pushes for quality and thinks hard about how their brand reaches their audience.
If that sounds like you, let's work together.
