AnyRun is my own product: the Australian platform for running and endurance events. Entries, waves, volunteers, bookings and sponsors sit on one entry list, and results and photos find their runner by bib number, so nobody has to go looking for their time.

It is the biggest build I have taken on. I designed the product, drew the brand and built the platform end to end, alongside my client work through 2026. It went live in September 2026, with its data hosted in Sydney.

How it came together

  1. One entry list for both sides of the start line

Organisers and runners work from the same record. The organiser's console holds distances, capacities, waivers and prices, and checkout pays into the organiser's own Stripe account, with one published fee on the whole cart.

    • Tees, parking and shuttles sell inside the same cart as the entry.
    • Waivers are versioned, with the wording Victorian and South Australian events need.
    • At capacity the waitlist opens, and a freed place goes to the next runner in one tap.
    • Bib ranges are issued per distance before the start list prints.
  2. Results that find their runner

On race day the timer's chip file is imported and matched to the start list by bib, and any gaps are named before anything publishes. One press publishes the results page, the club page and the sharing studio together.

Race photos are filed by bib number, without face matching. Runners keep a passport with every finish and photo, carry their bib and crew shift as a wallet pass, and post a finisher card from 59 sharing studio designs.

  3. Four roles on one login

A runner on Sunday can marshal in June and direct the club's own race in November, on the same account. Volunteers get their shifts, checks and a briefing pack. Sponsors see where their logo ran and what it did, across six placements.

  4. A brand that runs from a bib to a phone screen

I drew a running R carrying its motion lines and lettered the name by hand. “Run” is always ember, on every ground. The palette is small on purpose, one ink, one paper and one ember, because a race page already carries colour from clubs, sponsors and photographs.

Four typefaces each do one job, and the system covers the voice too: plain, specific and honest to a fault. There are rules for photography, sponsor placements and co-branding, a print pair at production resolution, and a short guide partners can read in five minutes.

The outcome

AnyRun has been live since September 2026. It runs registration to results for organisers, runners, volunteers and sponsors, and its features and implementation guide runs to 69 pages.

The kit and wristband images on this page are concept renders of the brand applied.
